Learning to Share

OK...
So let me first just say that you guys are the bestest!!
What a wonderful birthday I had with so many well-wishes.
Hubbs and I spent the day doing all of the things that I love to do!

I feel a little bad, however...
I selfishly stole the day and forgot to mention that it was also Faith and Hope's birthday as well.

Yes, our sweet "little" lambs turned one yesterday.

Faith ( as I look at this picture now, I realize that she has a hornet on her nose!)....

and Hope....

Remember last year when they came to the farm?
Oh my...nothing cuter than a lamb....

Remember that?
Oh, how I miss having babies on the farm!

But...the exciting thing is..
shearing is ahead.

Monday the girls are getting sheared.
Their wool will go off to the mill for washing and carding,
and then back to me as roving for spinning.

The spinning is going well.
I have built up my speed and am learning to get a more even yarn.
I still have to work on getting a thinner yarn...but that will come in time.

Next on the list of things that I want to learn.... weaving!
I am going to begin teaching myself to weave.
The loom is on it's way...not a big loom... a reasonable size for a beginner like myself.

"Hello, my name is Beverly, and I'm a fiber addict."
Yep, that's my story.
There may be no help for me.
Oh, but what fun I am going to have....and what nice gifts I will be able to make!
