I've said it a lot. Though not so directly. But.
Noble Giants wear particular activities much like clothing. But more like body hair. It is Forever. They do not change. Once transitioned to the state of Noble, the family falls into a shared memetic habit of behavior and occupation.
And this is a habit in some way connected to human civilization. Not to say all noble Giants want to be tailors or horse masters, though I've seen the latter and.. Damn. No, it can be anything. Here's an example.
The Vargunten Hounds are a noble giant family who live in a very big cave. There is a large creek nearby and a lot of ram and deer. The nearest human civilization rests twenty miles south of their dwelling. Sometimes trappers travel to catch a peak, because this family is strange.
Smaller than most families, the Hounds reach almost collectively 19-20 feet in height each. That is, if they were to stand bipedally. But they do not, as their name would suggest, the family has identified themselves with that of the Dog, a human companion. Skin coated in sap and Any kind of animal fur available. But More specifically, they have assumed the role of the St. Bernard, large makeshift kegs dangle by vines around their necks, filled with alcohol stolen from the aforementioned towns noted distillery. Ransacking the place, bounding on all fours, drooling, barking, snarling, humping, scratching, shitting.
The townsfolk have always managed to just barely stay out of their way and allow the kegs to be crudely filled with minor destruction. It is not too much of an expense and the fear has not manifested into tragedy as such.
Woof woof.
Once restocked and taken leave, it is a Vargunten Hounds prerogative to seek out those in need of immediate rescucitation a la whiskey. Unfortunately, every individual encountered is in need of this treatment. The hounds will chase down their victims, barking playfully behind until close enough to Paw them to the ground jumping a bit upon their soon to be unconscious bodies before marking a nearby tree and then proceeding to drown the person/entity, lying before them, with gallons of liquor from their neck barrels. The dead's eyes jaundiced and oozing, cerebral whiskey adema death, broken bones and the smell of yeast infection, bad breath, territorial piss everywhere.
There is an Alpha to the Varguntens. He'll mate anything.
